NX 2306 Series Support

Added New Rule

Standard Sheet Thickness – Sheet Metal
The organization has a standard sheet thickness inventory. The design engineer should use the standard sheet thickness based on the material. Any non-standard sheet thickness leads to extra inventory and additional raw material costs.
Recommendations: Use Sheet thickness should be as per the value configured in the Rule Configuration table.


Minimum Wall Thickness – Additive Manufacturing
Based on the Additive Manufacturing sub-process, minimum wall thickness should be maintained for supported and non-supported walls. Thin walls are more likely to warp due to differential shrinkage during the cooling process. It bends before the resin can dry or cure. Extra support is required to hold it.
- Fusion Deposition Modeling (FDM) – Minimum Wall Thickness should be 0.8 mm for supported and non-supported walls.
- Stereolithography (SLA) - Minimum Wall Thickness should be 0.5 mm for supported and 1.0 mm for non-supported walls.
- Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) - Minimum Wall Thickness should be 0.7 mm for the supported wall.
Users can configure the manufacturing process like Fusion Deposition Modeling, Stereolithography, Selective Laser Sintering, and corresponding minimum wall thickness values for supported and non-supported walls.


Recommended Text Parameters – Additive Manufacturing
Text characters are small features in additive parts that convey additional information.
Example:
- Lettering
- Identification marks
- Important instruction, warning
- Legal and Regularity information
- Company logo, Symbols
Text characters are small features of an additive part and look much better if raised above the print's surface. Text height and width should be visible above the print's surface. If it is too small, then during printing, it might fuse with the model.Users can configure the manufacturing process like Fusion Deposition Modeling, Stereolithography, Selective Laser Sintering, and corresponding Recommended Text Parameters (text height and width).


Axial Misalignment Between Cored and Machined Hole - Milling
In the case of assembly machining, the pre-machined stock is used as a reference component, and machined features (drilled holes) are created on top of the stock. Rule checks the axial misalignment between cored hole (present in the cast link body) and the machined drill hole. Axial misalignment between cored and the machined hole creates an assembly issue.


Minimum Thread Relief Based on Thread Size - Drilling
While threading a blind hole, sufficient relief should be provided at the bottom of the threaded hole. Enough relief clearance allows for chamfer teeth of the tap; it will keep the tap tool from bottoming out in a hole and avoid any overcut issue while threading.


NX Check-Mate - DFMPro Settings

By default, the Update results in Check-Mate after import option is selected and is used to update the Checkmate results after successfully importing DFMPro results. To stop updating results in checkmate after import, deselect the checkbox.It is a global-level setting, and the admin can only define it. For non-admin users, this setting will be disabled.


User Inputs - Additive Manufacturing Sub Process

Users can select the sub-process option in the User Inputs group box only when Additive Manufacturing is selected as a Manufacturing Process to execute the analysis. There are four types of sub-processes: Default, FDM (Fusion Deposition Modeling), SLS (Selective Laser Sintering), and SLA (Stereolithography). DFMPro will analyze the Additive Manufacturing rules and specific sub-process rules based on the selection.


Manual Check Functionality

DFMPro Manual Check functionality will provide a framework to execute non-CAD geometryspecific checks, e.g., drawing-related checks, standard regularity checks, template-related checks, etc. After configuring those checks in standard “DFMPro_Manual_Check.xlsx,” all checks are available as a separate rule in the rule file. The designer can select those rules and perform DFMPro analysis. DFMPro will display a Manual Check dialog box during execution where the user can select the check that indicates the user has performed it.


Rule Manager - New User Interface

DFMPro has introduced a Rule Manager - New User Interface for a better user experience.




Visual Rule Modeler Enhancements

Additive Manufacturing
Users will be able to create additive manufacturing rules like Minimum Wall Thickness, Maximum Print Size, and Recommended Text parameters based on the following features and parameters:


Rule Summary and Rule Description
Describe rule application and importance in the form of a Summary. DFMPro will automatically fill in default information based on the Rule name. Users can modify it as required. A few special characters are not supported in the rule summary, like: ”, l, :, \\, ?, *
For example, if the rule name is Minimum Clearance Hole Diameter, DFMPro will fill the default summary as “Minimum Clearance Hole Diameter as per configured value in UI.”

- Add-ons on the DFMPro for NX –Cost and DFX Analytics are additional licensedcomponents that are not included with the standard DFMPro for NX version.

Recommended Angular Tolerance
A designer should specify the allowable angular tolerance value, which can easilyachieve. The tight tolerance value will add extra cost and increase the operationaltime.

General

Recommended Dimensioning Method
A designer should specify PMI with correct references. Designers often tend to definethe PMI as a graphical representation point of view, which can only be read by thehuman eye. However, these representations cannot be consumed by machines or softwarebecause of inaccurate specification of references. If the designer specifies thePMI with correct references <Semantic PMI>, then it can be consumed by machines andsoftware. Semantic PMI will use for manufacturing automation like Computer-AidedManufacturing (CAM) and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).

Draft angle design is an essential factor when designing the Sand casting parts.In the Sand Casting process, the draft provides the part for pattern design. An appropriatedraft angle ensures the removal of the pattern without damaging the mold. No draftor undercuts can make with additional cores, which will add an extra cost.

The amount of draft angle will depend on the method of molding, drawing of the pattern,the material used as a pattern.

关于激活

1. Install DFMPro v7.0.0.7586 for NX1847-1872-1899 Series Win64.
   At the end of setup refuse from License setup (select "None" > Finish )

2. Overwrite original <DFMPro for NX(x64) program folder>
   (by default C:\Program Files\HCLTech\DFMPro For NX(x64)) with cracked one

3. Run <DFMPro for NX(x64) program folder>\DFMProLicenseManager\DFMLicenseManager.exe

    On "License Setup" tab select

    "Select node locked (Standalone) license file"

    Browse to <DFMPro for NX(x64) program folde>\DFMProLicenseManager\gssl_SSQ.lic, click Open

    Click OK to finish license setup

4. Enjoy
