Siemens has released second update for TIA Portal V18 Step 7 and WinCC Unified. New software contains some improvements and changes.

Improvements in TIA Portal Update 2 Step7

Length limitation for names and namespaces in software units (S7-1500)

The namespace and the name of a program element must not exceed the total length of 125 characters. The separators (.) are included.

Previously, separate length limitations of 60 characters each applied to the namespace and 60 characters to the name of the element.

Behavior when exporting objects in the Version Control Interface (VCI)

As of V18 Update 2, SIMATIC ML files exported with Version Control Interface (VCI) no longer display default values. If a change was made to a default value, an entry is written to the exported XML file. This can lead to changes in the behavior when comparing the existing files with the objects in VCI. Run the export again to get the new export format.

Faceplates

When objects are grouped into faceplates, the group gets its own interface. Any existing interfaces of the individual objects are lost.

Runtime Professional

Stability and performance have been improved.

The display and dynamization of screens and screen objects has been improved.

The configuration dialog has been improved.

WebNavigator

Stability and performance have been improved.

The WinCC WebBrowserControl (Chromium) has been improved.

Diagnostics

The system diagnostics display has been improved.

Channel diagnostics has been improved.

Zooming without pressing the control button

You can configure zooming in runtime in the runtime settings of the device. You have the following options:

- Zooming by turning the mouse wheel with pressing the control button.

- Zooming by turning the mouse wheel without pressing the control button.

To zoom in runtime without pressing the control button, follow these steps:

1. Under “Runtime settings > General > Screen”, activate the option “Zoom without pressing the control button”.

This option is disabled by default.

博途TIA Portal WinCC包括组态软件和运行软件，可以同时安装，也可以独自安装。

一、博途TIA Portal WinCC组态版本

按功能分为 Basic/Comfort/Advanced/Professional 版本，各版本能组态的设备不同：

其中，Basic 版本只能组态 Basic Panel，即精简系列面板；Comfort 版本包括 Basic 版本，可以组态当前几乎所有的面板，包括最新发布的精智面板（Comfort Panels），但不包括Micro 系列面板，如下图所示：

Advanced 版本包括 Basic/Comfort 版本，还可以组态基于 PC 的项目，根据外部变量点数分为128/512/2K/4K 四种版本，类似传统 WinCC flexible Advanced 版本；

而 Professional 版本包括 Basic/Comfort/Advanced 版本，还可以组态 SCADA 项目，即包括了传统 WinCC 版本，根据外部变量点数分为 512/4K/Max(64K) 三种版本。

二、博途TIA Portal WinCC运行版本

包括 Runtime Advanced/Professional，Runtime Advanced 版本根据外部变量点数分为 128/512/2K/4K 四种版本；而 Runtime Professional 版本根据外部点数分为 128/512/2K/4K/8K/64K 六种版本。如下图所示：

博途TIA Portal WinCC的许可证需要注意：

1. 和传统的 WinCC flexible Advanced 类似，WinCC Advanced 和 WinCC Runtime Advanced 的外部变量点数是一一对应的。2. 和传统的 WinCC 不同，WinCC Professional 和 WinCC Runtime Professional 的外部点数不是一一对应的。

3. 和传统的 WinCC 不同，WinCC Professional 只用于组态，而 WinCC Runtime Professional 只用于运行，不存在传统的WinCC中，组态版 (RC) 包括运行版 (RT) 的情况。例如，即使外部变量点数少于 128，也需要购买 WinCC Professional PowerTag 512 的组态许可证，和 WinCC Professional Runtime PowerTag 128 的运行许可证。

4. 和传统的WinCC V7不同，而WinCC Professional （开发版）只有一个版本，不区分欧洲版和亚洲版；而和传统的WinCC V7 亚洲版类似，WinCC Runtime Professional 亚洲版也需要 USB Dongle 作为硬件狗插在 PC 上。

功能介绍

1、TIA Portal Multiuser Engineering

TIA允许多个用户同时工作在同一个项目上，增加协作的能力，另外还可以通过委托减少工作时间。

2、TIA Portal Teamcenter Gateway

Teamcenter网关让您保存和管理TIA Portal项目在Teamcenter。

3、TIA Portal Cloud Connector

允许客户通过工业私有云的形式，借助RDP协议接入远程PC的TIA管理器并可以连接现场硬件。

4、TIA User Management Component

TIA的用户管理组件(UMC)在TIA Portal V15提供全球用户管理的可选项。可以跨项目定义和管理用户和用户组。用户和用户组也可以从微软活动目录中获取。

5、TIA Portal Openness

SCL可以用XML来表示，意味着V15版本的LAD/FBD和SCL都相互导入导出为XML。
